This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The construction utilizes a dry shaft configuration that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which facilitates maintenance via a slip-on shaft sleeve. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal prevents fluid leakage, while integrated pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring. The assembly includes flush seal line taps to permit the installation of a filter for protection against non-condensable particles in open systems. This pump configuration is rated for 125 PSI operation.
The motor operates at 3 HP, Premium Efficiency, TEFC, 1750 RPM, with Aegis Grounding, a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, and a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
