This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft to limit corrosion. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This assembly maintains pressure up to 125 PSI. It incorporates flush seal line taps to permit the installation of an optional filter for protection against non-condensable particles in open systems, while suction and discharge connections provide standard pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
