This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally cast mounting foot for stabilization. The unit utilizes a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The assembly incorporates a mechanical seal with ceramic and EPT components rated for 250°F operation. Drilled and tapped gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections permit system monitoring, while the casing provides a 125 PSI pressure rating.
The pump operates with a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and runs on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
