This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and an integrally cast bronze impeller, balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The unit utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of EPT rubber and a ceramic seat, engineered for systems rated at 125 PSI. Gauge ports are provided at the suction and discharge connections for pressure monitoring, while the center-line discharge orientation facilitates positive air venting.
Powered by a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, the assembly utilizes 380-460V 3PH power and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
