This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft to isolate the internal stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, which utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve for protection. Sealing is managed by an EPT rubber component paired with a ceramic seat half. This assembly supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The pump utilizes a 60 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
