This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and center-line discharge for air venting. The unit integrates a bronze impeller balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, a stainless steel shaft, and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve that prevents contact with circulating fluid via a dry shaft design. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal handles fluid temperatures up to 250°F. The construction incorporates a replaceable bronze wear ring and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring, while the assembly maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI.
The 2 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis Grounding, and draws power from a 380-460V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. Parallel pumping and multi-pump control functions are supported. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
