This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft paired with a stainless steel shaft sleeve. Its mechanical seal assembly incorporates a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. The construction employs a dry shaft design, which prevents fluid contact with the shaft, and holds a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. The pump incorporates integral mounting feet to facilitate installation.
The assembly utilizes a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
