This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge for air venting. The hydraulic assembly utilizes a stainless steel impeller paired with a stainless steel shaft and a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. A dry shaft mechanical seal provides operation at 125 PSI and incorporates a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components to manage system pressure. This configuration enables maintenance of the mechanical seal without disturbing the primary system piping.
The motor operates at 15 HP with Premium Efficiency and a TEFC enclosure at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis Grounding on a 380-460V, 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
