This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 6" suction and 5" discharge connection. It utilizes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable stainless steel shaft sleeve. The internal assembly includes a bronze wear ring and a mechanical seal configured with a tungsten carbide seat, carbon rotor, and buna rubber components, rated for temperatures up to 225 °F. The unit is equipped with ANSI Class 125 flanges and maintains a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections.
This pump is driven by a 20 HP Baldor ODP motor in a NEMA 256T frame. It operates at 1750 RPM and is compatible with a 230-460V/60/3PH power supply with across the line starting. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and features AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The pump operates at a 40 °C ambient temperature with counter-clockwise rotation and has a pump energy index (PEI) of 0.92.
