This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that isolates the pump shaft from the circulating fluid. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber components form the mechanical seal, which sustains operating pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections, and flush seal line taps provide the capability to install a filtration system to protect the internal seal.
The unit utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with an Aegis grounding ring, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply. The DOE PEI rating is 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect with electro-mechanical bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
