This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve mounted on a stainless steel shaft. The dry shaft assembly utilizes a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid, while the design permits operation at 125 PSI and includes a replaceable wear ring. Hydraulically balanced components provide consistent performance, and the structure allows for the servicing of internal parts without disturbing the connected system piping.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
