This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft mechanical seal assembly, which utilizes a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This dry shaft configuration protects the pump shaft by isolating it from the circulating fluid and is rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
