This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge for air venting. The hydraulic assembly comprises a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This design incorporates a dry shaft construction that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal incorporates a Ni-Resist seat half with Buna rubber components to maintain fluid containment. Engineered for pressures up to 125 PSI, the pump includes a replaceable wear ring and flush seal line taps to protect the mechanical seal from non-condensable particles present in the system.
The assembly utilizes a 75 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and functions on 380-460V, 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
