This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge configuration for air venting. The internal assembly utilizes a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal integrates an EPT rubber component with a ceramic seat, rated for operation up to 250°F. Pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation, while flush seal line taps provide options for particulate filtration in open systems. The construction supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI.
The system utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 200-230V 3PH electrical input, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
