This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate liquid movement. A bronze shaft sleeve shields the internal shaft, utilizing a dry shaft design that eliminates contact with the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, supporting a 125 PSI pressure rating. Integrated pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, while the dry shaft construction allows for seal maintenance in the field without exposing the primary pump shaft to process media.
Powered by a 5 HP Premium Efficiency ODP 1750 RPM motor with Aegis grounding, the assembly operates on 230V 3PH power and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect with bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
