This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller that is dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. A dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which utilizes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250°F. Gauge ports are provided for both suction and discharge connections, while flush seal line taps allow for the installation of optional filtration components.
The system is driven by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding with a 380-460V / 3PH power supply and a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
