This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design, protecting the stainless steel shaft from contact with the circulating fluid through the use of a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal prevents leakage at a pressure rating of 125 PSI. This construction allows for service and maintenance without disturbing the connected system piping.
The pump utilizes a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
