This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 6" suction and a 5" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a cast iron casing, a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The bearing housing contains permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings, and pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections.
This unit operates at 3450 RPM and uses a 50 HP Baldor Super E Premium Efficiency motor with a TEFC enclosure and a 326 NEMA motor frame. The electrical configuration is 230/460V, 60Hz, 3PH with an across-the-line starting option. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets MG1-12.55 efficiency standards. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes a drip pan and a Woods coupler covered by a coupler guard. This equipment is EISA compliant with a DOE PEI value of 0.92 and an HI Energy Rating of 8.
