This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. A dry shaft construction isolates the internal shaft from the circulating fluid to minimize corrosion. The unit utilizes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, capable of operating at 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, compatible with 200-230V and 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
