This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction that protects the stainless steel shaft by preventing contact with circulating fluids, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve facilitates maintenance. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Hydraulically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, the pump manages system flow through suction and discharge connections that include standard pressure tappings.
Powered by a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
