This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve along with a stainless steel shaft in a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI. A mechanical seal comprising a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components isolates the fluid path from the shaft. The volute casing incorporates pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 1.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V 3PH electrical supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
