This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve covering a stainless steel shaft in a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal uses a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to manage fluids up to 125 PSI. This pump provides center-line discharge for air venting and includes gauge ports for both suction and discharge connections.
Powering the assembly is a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
