This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly comprises ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This pump integrates suction and discharge pressure tappings as well as flush seal line taps to facilitate filtration maintenance.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and runs on a 200-230V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. This self-sensing quadratic variable flow drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
