This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and an integrally cast bronze impeller for efficient hydraulic performance. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the unit integrates a mechanical seal comprised of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. This pump provides gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections for pressure monitoring and a drain port at the bottom of the casing for maintenance.
Powered by a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and includes Aegis grounding, functioning on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
