This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrated center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal provides containment, supporting operation up to 125 PSI. This unit employs a structural steel base and utilizes hydraulically balanced components to ensure consistent performance.
The pump operates with a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis Grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
