This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing housing a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, utilizing a mechanical seal with ceramic and EPT components. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring, while the internal design supports a 125 PSI operating limit without a wear ring. A slip-on shaft sleeve facilitates field maintenance of the mechanical seal.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V, 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
