This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve to protect the shaft from contact with the circulating fluid through a dry shaft design, which is rated for 125 PSI. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to maintain fluid containment. The construction facilitates maintenance by allowing the impeller and shaft components to remain accessible.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply and holds a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
