This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 4" suction connection and a 3" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent fluid contact with the shaft and incorporates a mechanical seal assembly composed of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The casing is equipped with suction and discharge pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 15 HP Baldor Super E premium efficiency motor in a NEMA 254 frame with a TEFC enclosure and terminal strip. Electrical specifications include 230/460V 3PH power with a Y-Delta high-voltage starting option and a 40°C ambient temperature rating. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and a Woods coupler with a standard coupler guard. This pump meets NEMA MG1-12.55 standards, has a DOE PEI value of 0.91, and carries an HI energy rating of 9.
