This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The construction incorporates a dry shaft design that isolates the shaft from fluid, while the seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections permit fluid monitoring, and the unit maintains a 125 PSI rating. An easy-to-replace, slip-on shaft sleeve facilitates maintenance, and the design allows for a filter via flush seal line taps to protect the mechanical seal.
The assembly utilizes a 1.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
