This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. Constructed with a bronze shaft sleeve, the unit employs a mechanical seal incorporating a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This design operates at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. The dry shaft configuration eliminates the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials while providing access to the shaft sleeve for field seal maintenance.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding for the 380-460V 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
