This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller for fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. Maintenance is facilitated by a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a pressure capacity of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Flush seal line taps allow for the installation of filtration to protect seal components from non-condensable particles. Integrated pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections provide access for performance monitoring during operation.
This pump is powered by a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
