This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. Engineered with a dry shaft design to isolate the assembly from circulating fluid, the pump incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a Ni-Resist seat half and EPT rubber. This configuration provides a rated pressure capacity of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring.
The unit utilizes a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a power supply of 380-460V / 3PH, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
