This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The dry shaft design protects the shaft by preventing contact with the circulating fluid, while the slip-on bronze shaft sleeve facilitates seal maintenance. The assembly incorporates a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Standard pressure tappings are provided on both suction and discharge connections, and the unit supports the installation of a filter via flush seal line taps. This pump assembly is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
Power is provided by a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM that integrates Aegis grounding, configured for a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.49. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
