This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting. The unit incorporates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump prevents fluid contact with the shaft during operation. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250°F is integrated into the assembly, which handles a pressure rating of 125 PSI.
The motor operates at 7.5 HP with a Premium Efficiency rating, a TEFC enclosure, 1750 RPM, Aegis Grounding, and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI value of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
