This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, which removes the need for specialized corrosion-resistant shaft materials. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve assists in mechanical seal maintenance. The mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, capable of operating at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 2 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, the assembly utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
