This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design rated at 125 PSI. A mechanical seal, integrating a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, protects the internal components from the circulating fluid. The casing incorporates flush seal line taps to allow for the installation of a filter, while pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections permit monitoring.
Powering the assembly is a 15 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
