This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a stainless steel shaft to prevent contact with circulating fluid. It utilizes a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250°F operation. Pressure tappings are positioned on both suction and discharge connections, while flush seal line taps allow for the installation of an optional filter to protect the seal from particles. The pump provides a 125 PSI pressure rating without a wear ring.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding for power supply at 380-460V / 3PH, maintaining a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
