This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The unit operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections are provided for monitoring. The bearing frame houses permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings to facilitate maintenance.
The 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis Grounding with a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
