This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and cover that houses a stainless steel NSF61 impeller. A bronze shaft sleeve serves to protect the internal components, while the dry shaft design ensures the shaft remains isolated from the circulating fluid, rated for 125 PSI operation with an integrated wear ring. The assembly incorporates a mechanical seal utilizing a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components to maintain system integrity during fluid transfer.
The system operates with a 2 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
