This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft configuration to prevent fluid contact. A mechanical seal is installed with tungsten carbide for the seat half and EPT for the rubber components, supporting operation up to 250 PSI. The construction includes a wear ring to facilitate maintenance within the volute.
The pump operates with a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and runs on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
