This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a hydraulically balanced bronze impeller fitted to a stainless steel shaft, which utilizes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve for protection. The construction employs a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and operates at a 125 PSI pressure rating. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic and EPT components to maintain a secure internal fluid environment. The structural steel base assembly includes an integral drain pan to manage fluid collection.
The pump operates with a 25 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
