This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing consists of a ceramic seat with EPT rubber. This assembly supports a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring and provides internal taps for suction and discharge gauge ports to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 10 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
