This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which utilizes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The pump integrates a mechanical seal assembly constructed with ceramic seats and EPT rubber. This assembly is engineered for a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI.
Powered by a 30 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis shaft grounding and utilizes 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, a main disconnect, and drive fusing, and holds a NEMA 3R / IP 64 enclosure rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
