This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump uses a 6-1/4" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller, a cast iron casing, and a cast iron cover. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents system fluid from contacting the shaft and includes a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate seal maintenance. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. This unit provides pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections and features flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, and the top center line discharge aids in self-venting.
The pump is configured with a 5 HP Baldor motor in a JM frame with feet and a TEFC enclosure. It operates at 3450 RPM on a 200/60/3 power supply. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards. This configuration features an across the line starting option, a 40°C ambient temperature rating, and a maximum fluid temperature of 250°F. The pump unit has a PEI of 0.89.
