This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A ceramic seat with EPT rubber provides the mechanical seal interface, supporting operation up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. The construction allows for servicing the pump without disturbing the system piping.
The motor operates at 50 HP with a Premium Efficiency, TEFC enclosure, a speed of 3450 RPM, and Aegis grounding, using a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
