This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber gaskets manages fluid containment, while the construction accommodates pressures up to 125 PSI. Gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring, and the design permits maintenance without disrupting the system piping.
The pump operates with a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts a 200-230V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.5. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
