This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft feature to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing is provided by a ceramic and EPT assembly. The unit is rated for 125 PSI and includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, featuring Aegis grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
