This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 250 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, providing a temperature rating of 250 °F. The assembly includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections, along with flush seal line taps.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor motor in a NEMA 324TS frame. The motor features a TEFC enclosure and operates on a 230-460/60/3 PH power supply. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency MG1-12.55 standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that incorporates a drip pan and connects to the motor via a Woods coupler protected by a standard coupler guard. This pump configuration has a DOE PEI value of 0.9 and uses across the line starting.
