This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The assembly includes a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, a stainless steel shaft, and a stainless steel shaft sleeve. It incorporates a bronze wear ring and a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal is configured with a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The bearing housing uses permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings, and the casing includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is mounted to a 215 T frame NEMA motor. The unit includes a welded base with an integral drip pan and a Woods coupler with a protective coupler guard. This pump configuration maintains a PEI value of 0.88. The design allows for maintenance and servicing of the seal and bearing housing without disturbing the system piping.
