This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller that is dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The pump assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, protecting the stainless steel shaft from circulating fluids through the use of a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For operational longevity and system integrity, the pump incorporates a mechanical seal with ceramic and EPT components. The bearing housing contains permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings, and the unit supports internal pressure tapping on both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring.
Powered by a 10 HP premium efficiency motor with an Aegis grounding ring and a TEFC enclosure, the pump operates at 3450 RPM on 230V, three-phase power, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
